Friendly hosts, spacious room with a large ensuite, including a comfortable sofa for relaxing and a flat-screen TV for entertainment. breakfast options were amazing, featuring a huge choice and freshly cooked items, with the location being ideal just a short walk from local shops and a convenient pub across the road.

my stay at the rocklea was fantastic! the superior king room was airy, modern, and spotless. the breakfast was outstanding, with fresh fruit and a full cooked option. what really stood out was how lovely chris and liz were, they made us feel so welcome. they even helped organize beautiful flowers for my wife!

Had a ground-floor room near the entrance, which felt exposed. The dampness left my medicine soaked and me with a nagging chest infection. The towels never dried properly after a shower, which isn't ideal. Parking was misleading. Only one spot available, so I parked on the street. The twin room was cramped to the point of discomfort, with beds too close together, and the shower drain was clogged, causing overflow issues. Bathroom cleanliness could improve, with mildew needing attention.

I spent three nights in the Superior King Room at Rocklea Guest House. The room felt spacious and bright, and the luxurious decor made it quite welcoming. I loved the comfortable bed and found the sitting area perfect for relaxing with a view of the garden. The complimentary drinks and snacks were a thoughtful touch, keeping everything replenished daily. Breakfast choices blew me away. a fantastic selection that was always freshly prepared. Liz and Chris were incredibly friendly hosts who remembered my breakfast preferences, which made mornings feel special. I did encounter a few inconveniences. There weren't enough power outlets near the bed, which made charging devices a bit tricky. The bathrooms could use a little more attention to detail, especially regarding the ventilation and drainage. The location was ideal, right between Windermere and Bowness, making it easy to explore both towns on foot. Plenty of nearby attractions kept me entertained during my stay. Rocklea is delightful, but addressing the minor issues would elevate the experience even more.

rocklea is perfectly situated, just a short walk to the lake. our standard double room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a lovely view of the burn. breakfast was a highlight, especially the pancakes with fruit! liz and chris were amazing hosts, always ready with fantastic local advice.

We felt truly valued as guests, thanks to the incredibly attentive hosts who went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay, and being just a few steps from Queen's Park made our city strolls absolutely delightful.
